Surrey Adult Education Courses
Photography - Beginners (Introduction to SLR Photography)
Photography courses are run in conjunction with the Surrey Adult & Community Learning service. These courses provide an inexpensive option in pleasant and friendly surroundings. Many students have found the course content very useful, one went on to win a Rose Bowl in the local council Spelthorne in Bloom competition.
The main focus of the course is getting to grips with your SLR camera, to understand how you can take control of your photography.
The final week includes a brief introduction to fine tuning your photographs using Photoshop Elements software.
Topics covered include:
- How the SLR Camera works.
- Metering and Exposure.
- Depth of Field.
- Close up Photography.
- Assessing your photos.
- Using Photoshop Elements.
Courses are held in Sunbury on Thames, on Thursday evenings, for 8 weekly sessions (9 weeks including half term), 7.30 p.m. for 2 hours.
The next course runs from Thursday 27th January for 8 weeks, final week 24th March, half term break 24th February.
This course will be in the Spring, enrolment now until start date.
The following course will be in the Summer term - check the Surrey Adult Education Website for information - contact details below.
One student has mentioned that getting on one of the courses is harder than getting into Fort Knox, so it is wise to book as early as possible.
